Makes working on the car so much easier. So very much.

Heres the update:

Removed -
Power Steering Pump
Upper Intake Manifold (which was a *****, btw)

Damaged -
A couple of vacuum lines and water hoses. They were in my way so they faced the razor of doom. Oh well.
4 cigarettes in my "crush proof box" got pwn3d.

Took me 2 hours to get that **** out.

BTW... I plan on tearing down the 3.8 once its out and using the heads and intake manifolds (minus the valve covers) as the basis for a neato coffee table.

Yep. A 4.6 from a 1995. Not the best year, but it was 300 bucks for the whole car. So I have all the parts I need to hammer the throttle safely. =]

But of course. =]

All the underpinnings will be swapped, including the front spindles. Ill just have to remove those and swap them out at a later date... Time is more of a factor here than anything else.

Sure would be nice if some of the KC guys would help out... but then again, I do most of my work in the middle of the night, because thats when Im awake. =[

Well, I would have had the upper intake off a lot faster, had I bothered to check the vacuum line and water hose running into it and removed it before I unbolted her.

When I found the vacuum line, I just cut the thing. The water hose came off pretty easy.

Now to disconnect all the wiring tonight, and to coordinate my schedule with my friend...

THEN THE GREAT ENGINE SWAP BEGINS.
