Yes but, mine is the guinea pig, and yours will take half the time to complete.

If you would search on the subject, you'd find a quick answer.

Dropping in an explorer motor requires you to get certain things like the fuel lines, fuel rails, throttle body and intake from a 96+ car. The one advantage you have is you have the right timing cover for the swap. Search for pi swap or check out Porkchop's pi swap article at the top of the 4.6L forum.

My 94 crown vic with the 4.6 has almost 100K miles MORE than your tbird. Keep oil in that motor and it will run forever. If you want to swap to something else to get some more power out of it, do the explorer swap or a DOHC swap. Don't bother rebuilding the stock 94 4.6 cause you won't be able to get any decent power out of it with those heads. If the only reason for wanting to swap the motor is cause you are worried about the high mileage, then don't worry.

No I did not pick the color for this one :D

It has a slight flip flop to it, also turns a dark black without reflected light. Mildly ported NPI heads, Mark 8 pistons and rods, PI cams and intake. Intake will be bright silver metallic. This paint has to be worth another 10HP :headbang:
