Went to George Ray's today and finally found out what the SC does.

1/8 Mile at 100°, 23%, and 30.05"

Slip 1: 12:01
Reaction: 1.141
60': 2.286
ET: 9.477

Slip 2: 12:19
Reaction: .728
60': 2.301
ET: 9.542

Slip 3: 12:59
Reaction: .747
60': 2.317
ET: 9.426

Racing in 9.5 bracket
Slip 4: 2:18
Reaction: 1.117/1.014
60': 2.309/2.030
ET: 9.438/9.171
Won by being closer, other guy 2011 5.7 Ram ran 9.171

Slip 5: 12:21
Reaction: 1.196/1.056
60': 2.326/2.343
ET: 10.148/10.153
Lost by .134009, but the other guy lost a U-joint. He beat me off the line but I had faster ET.

No trap speed at George Ray's but if my math is right should be ~96mph.

LOL

Dude were you napping at the light?

Those reaction times are Horrible!

Decent times considering your mods and 100° temp.

Figure the reaction will get better with practice. On the last two I was trying to sandbag, trying not to breakout. That is what cost me the last race, pacing him and nerves.

Nerves were shot right before heats--car didn't want to start.

You don't sandbag at the light. Your time doesn't start until you leave the line.

I'm pretty certain that your reaction time is measured once the light drops but your time to distance doesn't start until you leave the starting line.

I know all about nerves at the light ... Just ask Driller. :D LOL

you using some interesting math, im running 7.8's in the 1/8 and im only at 87-88mph there is no way your at 96 in the 1/8th i dont think you would be at 96 in the 1/4mile.

as for the reaction time, are you running on a full tree, meaning each bulb goes individually or a pro tree where all three come on at the same time? if your on a full tree, go when you see the last yellow light, if you see green your late.

I agree...with that ET I would expect MPH to be 74-76 with 1/4mile ET being in the 14.6-14.7 range at 92-95 MPH. Here is an example from another SC that looks to be running about the same ET.

only one yellow?

should be like this, where big yellow lights 1,2,3 come on with a .400 or .500 delay between lights.

** -prestage small yellow bulbs
** -stage small yellow
* - 1 big yellow
* - 2 big yellow
* - 3 big yellow
* - green
* - red

if your at .700 go after you see the 2nd light come on.
