I am interested in putting a set of '07 Mustang wheels on my '96 Cougar. I know the bolt pattern is wrong and was wondering if wheel adapters would be a safe, and economical way to go. And if this is a go, will there be any clearance issues?

Also, what is the lug pattern size on the MN-12 line and what other factory wheels would bolt up to this?

Thanks in advance...

MN-12 like most FOMOCO FWD 5bolts is 5/4.25 with 38mm offset. Yes the MN-12 was designed to be FWD originally.

Other cars with the same bolt pattern(I make no guarantees about offset) include:

Lincoln LS V6
Lincoln LS V8(Higher offset than V6)
Mercury Grand Marquis/Crown Vic, and Towncar
Taurus
Jaguar X and S types
Some Volvos
Ford Windstar
Ford Tbird/Merc Cougar/Mark vii

Thanks for the heads up on the adapters... I'm sure I can find suitable aftermarket wheels... or a set of 16" T-bird/Cougar wheels.

What I'm finding on them is:
5x114.3 (5x4.5)
Which is the "standard" Ford RWD car bolt pattern.
