What is flipping the maf and what does flipping it do?

it supposedly gives it a more accurate reading when you have a bend in front it like with a cold air intake...i have to flip my pro m with my cold air intake because the hood hits the sensor otherwise...

i'm still confused. so do i have to physically unscrew the maf, flip it around and put it back in?

no...you dont touch the sensor...you rotate the whole maf 180 degrees so the sensor is facing down...

Flipping the MAF is a great big bunch of horse-patooty (pronounced 'pah-too-tee')
I know there is an article on this site about it somewhere... Now where did it go...
