Has anyone drained and re-filled thier AC system? Mine says its at the correct level of freon but the system is not near as cool as the Town Car so I thought it may need to be e-vac'd.

Any help would be appreciated.

If it's filled there could be a couple reasons it's not as cold as it should be. First, there could be moisture in the system. This greatly reduces its effectiveness. An evac and recharge would fix this. Second, the cycling switch on the accumulator might not be adjusted properly. There is a screw on the actual switch that controls the cycle time of the compressor. Third, the orifice tube within the system might be clogged. This will cause the compressor to work overtime and the system won't get as cold as it should. Fourth, the condensor fins might have a lot of blockage or damage. Check to make sure everything is fine. Lastly, there could be a problem with the blend door actuator that controls the temp door or the SATC unit if you have that. A lot of things to check, but start with the simple stuff. And the question to ask is did it just start not getting cold or has it gradually faded out or was it never really that great?
