i need to find a diagram of how the setup of the crankpulley and balancer are supposed to be setup from ford. i havent been able to find anything online yet, but i need to fix this problem with my belt!!!!
Is this what you are after? (see image below) There isnt anything special about the balancer/crank pulley in terms of installation and there is no alignment needed as the parts install to a stop/shoulder. The power steering pulley is slightly different as it does require correct pulley alignment when installed. All other pulleys are not position dependant (non grooved - water pump, idler and tensioner) or are self aligning when properly installed (grooved - smog, alternator, a/c.)
ya but see for some reason my belt keeps commin off, and the only pulley thats out of alignment is the crank pulley, its sitting too far back. now i was under it today goin to pull it off to put on a pulley from an 88 mustang 5.0 but it wouldnt fit, it would hit the fan (i can get a pic if needed of these pulley) but the pulley thats on my bird now, sits flush up against the harmonic balancer.
