I am changing the pulley on my allen supercharger. My stock pulley dose not give enough boost after the mods the boost droped 25% from 7 to 5 psi. I decided to add a smaller pulley to get the torque back up and more hp. I had a bad time getting the nut off the supercharger nose because not being able to keep it from turning. I noticed the nut on it was 18 mm and the hex nut on the pulley was 1 1/8 inches then I had the ideal to buy a 1 1/8 12 point deep socket and grind a couple of the edges so that it coudl be held by a 1 1/4 wrench and stick a 3/8 drive socket the opening.to the 18 mm unit. I used a 1 1/4 inch wrench to hold the socket and keep the nose from turning and used a 3/8 drive breakerbar to break the nut loose. It also works great on installing the nut

Steve,

I'm thrilled you dropped the other plan of attack. ;)

Now get yourself some respectable numbers and keep us posted.
