Today I was washing my car and I noticed that my front passenger side wheel is wearing abnormal. I checked the air pressure and its inflated properly.

At work I have a hoist so I decided to do further diagnosis. I hoisted her up and the tie rods are nice and tight. There is play when I grab the wheel at 12 and 6 and move it up and down.

My question is. Is this a hub issue or a balljont issue?

I drove the car and put pressure on the passenger side and I did not hear any symptoms of a hub going out (howling, ect..) No noise going over bumps or making turns.

Any idea?

You can ck the ball joints with a big pare of chanel locks, when the veh is on the lift. There shouldn't be much movement at all.

Yeah the balljoint is bad. I put a 5ft floorjack under the lca and compressed the suspension, then I used a prybar to move the balljoint. Its bad. Thanks! P.S. i am doing both.
