I just hooked autometer gauge to my fuel rail and I am gettin about 29-30 #. Isn't this too low? Could the reading be off if there is air right below the gauge? If so how do i bleed that. I get about 40# if I rev it and remove the vac line at the regulator.

The reading could be slightly inaccurate due to the air in the test line but the factory spec for fuel pressure is as follows

Key on Engine Running

3.8 N/A or 3.8 SC 30-40psi

4.6 2v 30-45psi

Key on Engine off

3.8 N/A or 3.8 SC 35-40psi

4.6 2v 35-40psi

yes you should be around 30-45 but when you rev it should increase thats normal. you might have a bad FPR or clogged Fuel Filter. check it out, how many miles on the car.
