Messing with the TPS can do BAD things to the car if its not properly adjusted. I wouldn't touch it if I were you. It can throw codes left and right of all sorts, make the car shift funny, and generally harm performance. I'm not entirely sure about all these on our TBirds, but I do know that a messed up TPS can cause hell with a buick grand national. My best friend had all of the above problems when his TPS was out of whack, and those engines are SENSITIVE to EVERYTHING!
