for engine gasket, which have better material design and longer lasting? i'm talking about valve cover, oil pan, oil filter adapter, timing cover, cranks seal, head gasket etc.

any idea?

I think Felpro makes the rest of them for Ford as they look identical to the oem parts. If talking 4.6 I would buy the FRPP head change kit as it comes with the head gaskets, exhaust, and new set of head bolts for the price of the head gaskets alone. I have never used a non oem headgasket for the 4.6 because of this, but I use Felpro all the time for the other gaskets with no problems.

i got all motorcraft gaskets for my pi swap...more dough, but its oem and not aftermarket designed...

just get the gaskets from jason, i think i spent 40 bucks total for 90% of my gaskets. do NOT buy exhaust manifold gaskets from any ford dealer, they cost an arm and a leg, so buy felpro.

thanks guys. this is just to get general idea which one will last 100-200k without leaking. felpro is a little bit cheaper than motorcraft that's why i ask. didn't know that felpro and motorcraft gasket are basically the same thing.

how about exhaust manifold gasket? so many kind, soft copper, aluminium, etc?

sure does need te headbolts. they are torque to yeilds, all 4.6 are, if you reused yours your askign for touble down the road

sorry guys for all the confusion. i don't plan to take the head off. just wanted to know general quality between the two manufacturer. so no headbolts/head gasket needed.

Some good info, learned from a Ford engineer that all TTY bolts are designed for 5 uses, heads, rods, mains, etc. Assume the factory does the first 2, and any Ford reman motors will usually have a white strip painted on the bolt heads showing another use was done.
