well swapped in some 3.73's to replace the 2.73's in my 88 t-bird car feels absolutley no differant then it did before? I have done lots of gear swaps and the change was very very noticable expessially with the aod trans. Just wanted to rant a little ifter i took the time to change them

2.73's to 3.73's, there must be a noticable difference. I just bought 3.73 gears for my 93 bird and can't wait to get them in.

it will be this ones first time out i am expecting some 9.0's 1/8 mile out of it
it's nothing fast maybe close to a stock 5.0 mustang if not just a hair quicker

yes, there is an rpm differance as with any gear change



no i haven't messed with the speedo yet i assume it takes a standerd gear with the full digital speedo/cluster

Don't be too upset when it runs a 9.50 or slower... Actually I'm pulling for the 9.0, but knowing how these things run with the stock cam I'm doubting it...

ive gotten 9.0 in the eighth with stock H.O. cam with 3.55 gears
heres my timeslip from last year same engine as in sig without the cam i now have

60' 2.038 (using some cheap slicks)
330' 5.835
1/8 9.036 @ 77.08 mph
1000' 11.782
1/4 14.105 @96.66 mph (was bracket race i had lost so i let off right before the line would have been a 14.0 )

i think you can pull a 9.0 no problem if you have grabby tires heatem up real good too.
