I'm getting my Cougar painted from Black to a different color - cause I can't keep black clean (and to get the SC panels done, and a few dings).

Please post pics of your unusual paint jobs, or colors that would look good on a Cougar w/SC panels.

My idea right now, is to paint it dark silver with a clear (translucent?) blue over top - but am open to new ideas.

I would have to say ford's "light blue". Like Dan U's 96. You could toss in more metallic flake, and bigger ones for a custom look.

I always liked the newer blue color. The ones they now have on Lightnings. I forget the name right now. A dark silver seems like it could be cool though.

I think a cool blue with silver strips would be cool. the kind that end at the hood and deck lid. Don't like the strips that go all the way down. I like the blue that juicedtbirdondubz has.

Yeah - Ford's new blue on the SVT stuff is pretty nice - and that's close to the color I'm after. A little bit darker, that's all.

Stripes? Could look good - but I like a clean look, no stripes/decals at all ;).

The car Dan has - any pics of it? I think I remember seeing pics of it fresh from paint - looked pretty good!

Nice looking ride! I had another car in mind, the flakes were HUGE, and almost ghetto looking...

I'm thinking of going darker than that yet, but may yet settle on a different color - but not Ivory. It's gotta stand out, not blend in ;).

I wonder what a clear red would look like on dark silver? I should really get back into my plastic model kits and experiment :).

Yeah silver is my favorite on the brids, actually that and blue. I think a v-tec blue would look cool. Like on civics and preludes and such. My car is metallic silver, and I've always thought it would look better darker.

Sorry I'm a couple days late on this topic, but I am getting my car repainted as I type. I am getting it painted the electric blue, but it is a GM color. I saw the door jams done and it looks good. It is on the corvettes and escalades. I saw it at a local dealership. Sorry about the GM besides Ford, but I like their colors more. Within a week or two (tops) I will have some pics. Hopefully I will be able to get my rims by then. But I will definitly have some pics on the forums when its all good to go.

Royal Blue Pearl is a good darker blue. Ford Paint code LE. If you want to see it go to the link in my sig, it is the color of my stripes. If you go to my picture page, there are some more pictures too. In the sun it looks lighter but when it is even a little cloudy out it is really dark looking.

That's a pretty different paint job in your sig. I like the blue color. I saw an Avenger today that was kind of dark blueish gray. I thought that looked cool.
