900 rpm idle in park/neutral

550 rpm in any gear while non moving

keep in mind the stock tach isn't perfect/great, so it may read a little off, my 4.6 at idle in park will appear to be 640ish, but when you hook up some diag. gear it will say it's at 550ish.

500 isn't bad, unless it's making wierd noise, jumping around, or causing a vibration

check the tps sonsor. the middle one is positive and the bottom wire is negative. should set it between 0.980 v to 1.020 volts.
