So if my Bird has a stock tire size of 215/70-15 with a diameter of 26.9 inches (or 751 revolutions per mile) and my rear end ratio is 3.27:1 ....

and I put on 245/45-16 tires with a diameter of 24.7 inches (or 817 revolutions per mile)...

What would my rear net ratio then be?

yes I know it's still a 3:27, but the rpms will be higher at any given speed due to the smaller tires.. so would they be the same as running 3.55's with stock size? 3.73's??

Anyone get what I'm saying?

Thanks~

751/817= 0.92
3.27/0.92=3.56

keep in mind it will look bad and lower the car by half the difference, over an inch.

Thanks GreenBird..

These are the wheels and tires I bought pictured on the sellers car.. I think they will do fine till it's time for rubber replacement and then I'll step up to the correct size~
