Swapping an 02 Grand Marquis tranny into my 97 LX. It's coming from LKQ, and I'm getting a Marauder converter and the correct flexplate from Lonnie.

I understand the pins will need to be changed on the car-side plug that goes into the bulkhead connector, as shown on p71interceptor.com.

My current transmission has the forced-lube tailshaft; is it hard to swap over?

Any other things I'm missing? speed sensor gear, TC clutch solenoid?

Your TCC solenoid should be the same impendance as the 02 trans only 94/5's need that swapped.

The modded tailshaft housing will swap right over and is easy with the trans out, just get a new gasket for it.

The 02 trans has a different spline (8 tooth IIRC) on the output shaft so you'll yeah you'll need a different speedo gear to match. heres a calculator for it: http://www.sccoa.com/faq/speedgr.html
