Does anyone here have EXPERIENCE with the single port to Splitport head swap? Is there a problem using my 97's shortie headers with 97 F-150 heads?

I did it.

The newer style headers didn't line up with the older style downtubes, so I ended up using the cast manifolds.

I did notice that you will have to use the TBird exhaust gasket. The one that came with the F-150 top end was smaller then the header ports.

Of course the egr will have to be deleted or rerouted.

Hopefully this is some help!!
Good Luck!

Nope, they'll bolt right up.

Rod,

Advance Auto strikes again. My buddy who still works there said that the mainfold gaskets were way different according to the information he has at work to research with.

That's correct, as the ports are shaped differently. However, the MN12 manifolds will indeed bolt right up to the splitport heads. I know what I have on my own car.
