what exactly is passive restraint. i am going to order the gauge pod from lotek. but it has without passive restraint and with passive restraint. what exactly is it

My guess if your ordering a gauge pod - probably for the A-pillar - the passive restraint is the seatbelt since 89-93's had the auto shoulder belts and 94-97 did not.

Passive restraint is any restraint that you don't need to do anything for it to work. So technically, all MN12s sold in the US had passive restraint because the 89-93 cars had the automatic shoulder belts, and the 94-97s had airbags.

With that being said, if you are ordering gauge pods, then tell them without passive restraint, because they really want to know if you have automatic seat belts or not. You have a 95, so you don't have them.
