My Haynes manual states that if the Valve Body cable could be to blame for my symptoms. It miss shifts once the car gets hot. How do I adjust and find this? Is it simple? Do I have to drop the pan? Is this common after changing transmissions?

Id drop the pain and make sure everything is still in there. Did you add a new trans? if so its it a stock replacement?

Well just found out that there is no VT cable on the 4r70w...But what would cause it to malfunction only after warming up?

Stock replacement BTW.

Bad epc solenoid, it's probably worn out. Could be any number of things even if a transmission is ruined it will likely work when it's cold.

Hey,

Where is the solenoid at? Is it just a drop of a pan and screws? If so, I'm gonna go get it, else, I'm just gonna have to live a few weeks without a car. Pictures if you got them. I have seen some pitures of the solenoid itself, but havn't dropped the pan yet.

The first problem is that you read the Haynes manual.
