Does anyone have a write-up for replaceing the head gaskets on a 94 Cougar w/ 3.8l? Or can you direct me to where there might be some write-ups?

It starts with alot of swearing and cussing and that pretty much continues all the way through, especially on a SC.

I have both the service manual and the CD but what I am looking for is someone who has done a write-up on it like I have done for many repairs I have done on my cars. Its nice to see someones point of view on how to do it rather than the BS the book tells you that leaves out several things that make the job go a lot easier... if you know what I mean.

I picked up a Ford shop manual from Ebay for a good price.

There are also some writeups on the SCCOA, for the SC engine, but once you get to the lower intake manifold, its really similar to the NA engine. ( except the torque sequence / Ft lbs. on the head bolts ). I think I spent about 3 hours extra pulling the SC stuff off when tearing down the engine, the NA didnt take so long to change the gaskets.

Thats a nice write up BTW, very detailed information. I havent seen one for Headgaskets with pictures like you have.
