ok, i have allready "searched" to find an awnser and got more confused. im trying to replace the headlights on my 97 and am stumped. i cant find the metal "clips" everyone is talking about. from what i can see there are 2 aiming screws and one non adjustable mounting point all with the same plastic locking type screw. they absolutly wont turn. put some pliers on them and they just deform and get chewed up. how do you get to them to turn them, is there another way to do this?

You use a socket set and possibly a flathead screwdriver to turn the aligning posts if the clips aren't holding the light in. To remove the headlight housing, you need to pry the clip edges on either side back, and then pull the metal clip up. I use needle nose pliers, or put a piece of wire through the hole and pull it up.
