Well, my "New" heater core died last week... I put this one in about three years ago right before the PI engine swap, and grounded it to the car. The original hadn't blown at about nine years old (I had replaced it to have a completley new/clean system for the Zerex G05 coolant). Anyone have any theorys as to why it died prematurely?

Unfortunately I don't believe hes worried about the cost of the Heater core as much as he is about the labor involved to change it again.

Well, when I get a garage this spring/summer, I'm going to rip out the entire interior to let it all dry out and give it a good cleaning (the back window leaks, so it's going to become a "Nice weather" car). I'm just wondering why it blew at 1/3rd of the age of the original when it was grounded, unlike the original. It's been said that electolyitic errosion is the main cause of failure and grounding it is supposed to prevent that.
