I left in late Aug to go to school and havent been on since. It's a small school and I dont have internet in my room. There is a internet lab but its slow so I dont bother posting because Id be there all day. I have checked out the posts once in a while but havent posted. The site is looking great and there are a lot of people I dont know.

I havent had my car with me because I go to school in Maine and thought I would leave it home to avoid bad winters. I got a beater, 1984 Plym Reliant, biggest piece of crap I ever drove. Its on its last leg so I will be bringing the bird up next semester. So far we havent even had as much snow as where I live in NY has had this year. I have managed two years with my bird already so I think another one or two wont be the end of the world.

Unfortunitly I am looking into buying a new computer (mac G4 dual 1 or 1.25s with probably a gigi of ram, for video/film editing) so I dont have that much money to spend on the bird, especially since I dont even have a job at school. Right now I will have to live with it doing 15.5 in the 1/4. I have met some people at school into cars but they all have imports. They arent the ricer type of people but they still arent the domestics im used to.

I am almost done with the semester and will be on the site more again. I will have internet on my computer next semester too so that will be cool.
I am in film school so if I get a good editing computer and a camera I would really like to get some cool tbird videos edited if I can make it to any large new england meets to get some footage.

Also who is incharge of readers rides? I want my email changed from [email protected] to [email protected] .

Take it easy everyone and happy thanksgiving.

Hey Shawn,

Glad to hear all is well. You don't want a overpriced mac when you can build a PC for less than 1/2 the cost. I've built several email me if you need help with anything.

Shadowdragon is still doing the readers rides, but with the new version of the BBS we are supposingly going to be able to edit our own information.

Anyway hope to see you in springtime for some more racing action.

Later.

Hey man, thats a great pic. It looks like your kicking my ***. Maybe next time you will huh. Especially if you get that SC.

I want the mac for ease of use. For video editing I can get Final Cut pro along with others. Ill think about it before I buy one though and look at what I can get.

Hey Shawn,

how have you been man? Final Cut Pro sounds very familiar. I'm taking A/V Post Production now. We mostly mess around with Pro Tools. But I heard that our next project will include integration of video along with audio. Nice to know someone is into the same field of study as I am. I'm going for Audio though.
I hope to see ya at a meet sometime in the spring, if not then definitely at Carlisle. Later.

I like Maine a lot. Very nice area. It's just that where I am there is a lack of things to do. I'm in Rockport, right next to more well known Rockland and Camden. I hope your moving went well. Where did you move to? I am going back up for a week and then coming home for the winter break. So I will be passing by Portland next weekend... Not in my tbird.

I think I have seen you with ET times. Where have you gone to a track? Probably another state right? Maine doesnt seem to have a 1/4 anywhere. I want to get some people from school end of next semester and go somewhere that does have a track. A couple kids with Hondas and one Nissan want to go so far. I want to woop on them a little. Maybe if you are going next season sometime somewhere I can meet up with you.

I stayed in Westbrook. my mother was given a house by her father :)

the closest 1/4 mile is at new england dragway in NH, its only about 45 minutes or an hour from me. there are a couple 1/8 mile tracks, but ive never raced at them, just been to some shows at them. check out forums.maine-street.com, its pretty much full of ricers, but its really the only maine-based site besides FCoNE. ill be going down to the track once the track opens up again, id be more than happy to meet up.

Thats all I have found around in maine is ricers. I saw a couple nice mustangs, one V6 and one V8 but other then that its all hondas and stuff.

Hey, good to hear from you Earl.

School is going real good. I dont have my own internet and the one I do use is a wireless service with about 80 computers on it and its slower then a stock honda. So I dont go on AIM often. I usually go on for a few minutes and then get off. In a weekl or so I will be on more regulary.

The Focus aint that bad. Its not a 1984 Plym Relient. Now thats a bad car.

Yeah I am planning on coming out to Cali right after school. Thats most likely, I mean if I find good work somewhere else then thats where I go.

Take care,
-Shawn
