Dropped my tranny pan to change filter and found odd part floating. Looks like a tiny lobster trap float with an o-ring around it. Is yellow-cream colored plastic, about one inch in diameter, resembles a bullet head with a short stick jammed in it's base. Can't see where it goes, haven't seen anything like it in any exploded views of 4rw70 trannies, don't want to put the pan back on until I figure out what it is.

Any help would be appreciated.

The turn signal fluid is next to the Flux capacitor. And dont forget the Dipstick return spring!

And real scary to find when changing the fluid on a 98 CV police interceptor tranny with 155K on it, yikes!
Just had this happen on the wifes car. The good news is that the tranny isn't acting up and the torque converter shutter is gone. Testament to having a tranny cooler from the factory. I think that's the only thing that saved it.
