Help With QA1s Please.

So I got my front QA1s in the mail yesterday and I am a little confused on if theyre the right ones. Comparing the ones I got to the pics on SCP they just simply dont have the same top or lower mounts?? If anyone has the QA1s do you mind letting me know? Im not sure if those are parts Bill sends separately or what but sadly SCP is on vacation right now for another 6 days so he can’t answer me, perfect timing haha…

The mount on the rod unscrews and the adapter from SCP goes in place of it. That becomes the lower mount to the control arm. You have to install the bearing in the shock body mount and that then bolts to the the upper adapter.

Perfect thank you!! I have a package from SCP coming today hopefully theyll be in there.
And hopefully after you get them installed they don't leak. I had to replace one because of it. It's a known issue with these. I figure if I have any more issues I'm going to find some better coilover shocks to replace them with. There's plenty of aftermarket shock builders with better quality (and higher price unfortunately) out there.

please tell me there’s supposed to be this much oil on this section of rod… Im probably overthinking but you saying theyre known for leaking got me scared.

That may just be from assembly. You'll find out soon enough if they leak since the shaft faces down.

You would think it would come with instructions. The Koni's did.

Bill did email me instructions, before I got my packages so I was expecting the coil overs to come looking like they do in the pics on the website. The two things I was asking about are custom from SCP I believe so they were just in transit still. It looks like a pretty straight forward process when you have all the parts.

Took me a bit to figure mine out, but it’s super simple.
