I was wondering if anyone has a step by step article on how to remove the front shock assemblies and the rear... I've searched and saw the article on lowering springs on mn12performance, but it's not that clear. Anyone help me out? Could you post some advice? Basically what I need to know is How do i get the front shock / spring assembly out? (rear too..) =) Thanks!

i just take out the wheel and unbolt the top spindle only.the rest is still bolt in it's place. the top spindle bolt might seize in there(mine did), just put an open end wrench there(15 or 17mm) and move it up and down while hammering the bolt end and it will move. wd40 penetrating oil help also.

2 days before i do it im gonna go out and spray some junk on it to loosen it up.. like every 3 hours or so. I've got special air tools and my BFH to help me out =)))))) So i just jack up the car, take the wheel off, undo the top spindle / UCA bolt off? Should i put a jack beneath the LCA and put pressure on it??? Thanks!!!

I just did mine to day what you want to do is offcourse 1take the wheel off 2. support lower control arm with seperate jack Loosen upper control arm from spindle then lower the lower control arm assembly 3. Remove caliper and place it on something so you wont stress the brake line away from the the strut 4. Disconnect sway bar linkage (top) from spindle 5. Either move the spinlde over to the side to gain access to the lower bolt of the strut or remove tie rod end from spindle 6. Now you have to make a decision either you want to take the whole strut assembly out or just the spring and strut (less the upper strut mount) if you take the whole assembly out then it's good to have spring compressors while out of the car. If not then just remove the upper strut bolt lower the assembly (slowly) til you can remove the jack and then remove the strut be sure to line up the spring when installing.
