Recently I have started to hear a sort of hissing noise, a good description describing it would be, it sounds like when your A/C is on low, but my A/C is not on at all, I thought it was coming from the speakers and that wasn't the problem. When you turn the car off you can still hear it like its going away slowly.

possible

You may be hearing your A/C refrigerant moving around while the pressure equalizes. This will make hissing noises for a short while. Another possibility is the sound of the condesation from your A/C accumulator and condensor dripping onto the passenger side cat. Hope this helps!

Look inside your passenger foot aread below the glove box. You should see a plastic tube going into a valve. If the tube is disconnected, reconnect it. Problem solved.
