I've been hearing a hissing noise in the 94 tbird coming from the middle of the dash closest to the window. I cannot feel anything blowing into the car, so im assuming its coming out of the rear of the motor. I checked the vaccuum hoses and egr valve in the engine bay and can't find the problem. Anybody have a similar problem? This noise happens with all the air control options off. Any help will be appreciated.

Check out the thread that I started over here:

Vacuum TEE

That piece was making a hissing noise although I don't remember being able to hear it from inside the car. It does match your description of the situation you're having: rear of engine, hissing noise, with a/c controls in any position.

Good luck finding it,
Willum

my 94 had the same problem
and at part throttle the vents would go to defrost.
the problem with mine was the selector switch
(internal leak), ford sells it seperatly from the climate control unit.
my was $46
