how deep of a stereo can I put in the hole where the idiot lights are and in the normal cd player place? I plan to put a CB in the idiot light hole, could I do this relitavely easily?

I have a small cb and scanner in my arm rest center console I just need to figure out where to put my antennas.... without making unslightly holes or slapping a giant magnetic swaying one to my roof

I find police aren't very happy about seeing things like after market guages, scanners, etc.... its like the first thing the look at, and if they think your some speed racing punk they will find something to give you a ticket on

How deep do the dins usually go? Probably not more than 7". I think MN12s have small holes.

As far as mounts go, I used a real nice one. It screws inside of your trunk or fender so they still open without any problems. Such as this one:
