anybody got any info on what I need to make a prop rod for my cougar? I'm tired of those hood struts, I've seen people mention making one but I've done some searching and I cannot find any info on how.

thx in advance

cool, thx. I'm wanting it to look like an OEM fit, I mean I can put an aluminum rod under there to hold it up, but I'd rather have it look stock.

Vise-grips on the hood strut will keep it up. :D

yeah, that's how I keep the hood up now, but it's just a little too ghetto for my tastes, would rather just remove them and get a decent looking prop, also I've heard bad things about the gas struts and fiberglass hoods, since I'm getting one next year I'm not going to bother putting the money into replacement struts.
