More than likely it's one of the hoses going to/coming from the heater core. Figure out if it's going to the intake, or the pipe behind the head.

That definately is the hose going to the heater core, you should replace them both at the same time, if one went the other is close behind

Definitly replace both. Spend the couple of extra bucks and get the hoses from ford. They fit better then auto store hoses. Its s tight fit back there, make the job as easy as possible on your self.

look at this link. Is this the hose? That is One of the heater core lines, the other one heads to the metal tube that goes under your intake manifold... don't be intimated by the tight room back there. just get a good pair of pliers to pinch the clamps open and pull 'er off..replace. there's only 4 coolant hoses to the whole system (upper and lower radiator hoses, and foward and return heater core hoses) those are your possibilities.. seeing how it's on the back of the motor.. that rules out upper and lower radiator hoses...

I'm pretty sure when I replaced mine a few years ago they were $20 each from Ford. They are easy to get off, just cut them with a knife, put the clamps on the new hoses and lube up the ends where they slip over the pipes.

yes not as much as you would think, roughly 15 - 35 per hose, you have a total of 4 you need to replace 2 for sure, so 30 - 70, if you were to replace them all 60 - 140 and I know it wouldn't cost over 100 for all 4 because I've done it before. AND yes I am sure they go to the heater core, as I have replaced them before on one of my birds

Also you want ford hoses going to the heater core and definately a ford radiator to block to coolant hose, but if you like you can go to autozone and by a goodyear for the radiator to t-stat housing hose but as I said the back two should definately be replaced the other two use your judgement on
