Anyone listen to some dubstep.

I have one favorite artist for the genre

Mick Harris aka Scorn aka other names too.

If you got subs this is the stuff to blow them up LOL

If you have nice mid bass this is your track.

I like some dubstep remixes, good stuff. Especially the new dubstep song by lien. Good stuff
Well I just found out Scorn is no longer an active project its done with. So that was kinda my big thing in getting into dub music. Some people remixed pantera into dub its cool but few realize dub was going on ages ago. Pantera even had 3 dub mixes done by Justin K Broadrick of Godflesh fame in the late 90s

I just recently started hearing about this last year. There is a DJ in Waco that does it. I am not a big fan since what I have heard of it is basically rap and r&b mixed with techno. That is probably way oversimplified, but I dont think its my cup of tea. I used to listen to lots of chopped & screwed music though.

Interesting. I knew I recognized his name; I had a few Napalm Death albums back in the day. Quite a change of direction.
I'm listening to Napalm Death right now, as I am 80% of the time, lol. Although I like a lot of the newer stuff when Danny Herrera came on board with Jesse Pintado. But yea, what a change in direction.

I like the ND music but I go and reach out in other genres. I like crossovers of many kinds, for example I love Fear Factory Remanufacture.

I have an addiction to industrial noise maybe this will grate on the nerves of your neighbors.

thats too industrial for me, hehe. I do like FF though.
The guy that wrote that tune is part of Front Line Assembly an industrial/EBM band. Rhys Fulber is and has been half of Front line assembly for many years especially those Demanufacture/Fear is the Mind Killer/Remanufacture/Obsolete days he made those records special. Im glad he worked on Mechanize. I love that one. I love FF big time. FLA is damn good when they used guitars it was like the industrial part trying to be metal. Instead of FF trying to be industrial. FLA did awesome work on Fear is the Mind Killer check out some heavier FLA..maybe you'll dig it.

Metal/Really heavy style just gets mixed with everything GM, its cool to hear the new styles personally. I even like the dub stepmix of pantera.

One of hte better ones show potential for the styles. Some slower FF could be worked into Dub step. I have every FF remix they have more mixes of New Breed than any song. Some really crazy.

THis is a great mix of styles, this is what happens when I song is done irght

This kind of music expanded my horizons of what could be heavy and still retain a metal mix.

You sure about that??.....You better have at least 1.21 gigawatts on tap to blow mine up.....

:zdevil:
With that gear this music could cause some damage to your house LOL.

If you want to just show off your boom just bump some Bass Mechanic "Bass Rider"

That gets the cops called.

Plan to own a club one day?

I have this muzac system taking from a restuarant that shut down its 3 speakers each with its own amp in the box, like 3 bose speakers. The connect to a preamp and I hook my lap top to it its loud and sounds nice. Blueeyes has heard metallica all day coming from my garage.
.
Since Napalm Death was mentioned heres Napalm Death remixed

no club, just one badass outdoor sound system. Those remixes are horrible lol.
Ya cant handle some crossover its ok I like it the straight brutality of metal that most people cant tolerate but a few do they love this tune.

Heres one more noise track I love to play loudly

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/rtbSyXlNNoU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

IM really down with Obituary though check this one I liked the name as you can tell, btw there are video of people covering this song on drums and guitar. I think it will make a good dubstep metal mix song.

Blessed Are the Sick happens to be one of my absolute favorite albums of all time. :headbang:

I enjoyed Slowly We Rot as well, but never got around to picking up or listening to any other albums by Obituary. Same with Broken Hope....just one album by them: Loathing

Its a toss up between Loathing and Grotesque Blessings!!!

I loved SWR when I got at 16. World Demise is the mandatory one to have from Obituary its actually better than SWR I know its hard to believe that but they got their act together and got better when WD dropped in 94.

I have almost all of Obituary even a bootlegged version of their high school Xecutioner demo 7", imaging hearing John Tardy "singing" at 15 LOL.
