Ok, I currently have 215/70R15 tires on my 94-95, I have 4.5 inches b/t the tires and fender...is this normal? It doesn't look right to me at all. anyway, I just ordered 2 sets of 17 x9 Cobra R's for the two birds, I am also going to order lowering springs...prolly eibach's...are they something that I can install myself? I have access to a full garage, and every tool imaginable. I want to save money, and I think I can do it, but have never heard anything about the "process". Anyway, advice is appreciated!

you need access to a wall mounted spring compressor to change the front springs and decompress/compress them onto the shock assembly.

The rears are easy.

Get some tires with a sidewall. Rubber band tires don't do it for me on these cars.

Kodiak Kid;

The mn12 article will do just fine for your spring swap project.

I agree with the above comments about using a wall mounted spring compressor.

Local shops, even Midas or Monroe, will charge you somewhere around 25-35 bucks to swap the front springs, if they are already out of the car.

Send me a PM with info. and I will mail you a copy of the Ford Service manual on CD.
