Did a search, and found nothing, What is the life of the upper and lower balljoints? How can you tell if they are bad?

From experience you hear a rubber slowly slipping on metal sound. You may feel the front tires not riding flat on the tread after the turn. If you really let the ball joint go, the wheel collapses into the fender well.

I'm just over 100k on mine. The upper ball joint on the driver side is damaged and making noise. I don't see anything on the passengers side but I'm going to replace both.

I'd say 75K to 100K is the normal life expectancy of a balljoint. I've replaced 7 on three of my birds.
