Not a Fox Bird or Cougar, but I have a Mark VII that I am working slowly on...1989 5.0 HO currently under major reconstruction.

It's in really rough shape but it's a really cool car, I'd love to have one in really good condition. It would be great cruising at sunset along the beach with the windows and moonroof open and the beautiful sounding 302 roaring away!

No pic yet, but I'm picking up an 87 black Turbo Coupe this Friday. I'll post pics as soon as I get it and clean it up.

well, it's mainly an mn-12 based forum, so I'm not surprised, but I know there are a few more that haven't fessed up yet, lol :)

Its a 5 speed. I wouldnt even bother if it were an automatic. It has a new IHI turbo, all new AC, new alternator, new tires. All it needs is a paint job, some interior pieces and a wastegate. For $500 its a steal.

Its cool Palmguy. I figured you had decided to keep it. Let me know if you change your mind though.

Here are the specs on the 87/88 Turbo Coupe:

Engine:
2.3L (2295cc, 140 cu in) 4 cylinder engine
2 valves per cylinder, overhead cam
190 HP when paired with 5 speed trans, 150 HP with automatic trans
8:0:1 compression ratio
bore and stroke: 96.0mm X 79.2mm
MPEFI injection
cooling fan turns on at 221 degrees F

Turbocharger:
1H1RHB-52 turbo with integral waste gate
air to air intercooler, dual active air scoupes on hood
intercooler cools air by ~60% on its way to the cylinder head (denser air=more HP)

Transmission:
short throw trans
top speeds per gear: 1st - 33mph, 2nd - 56 mph, 3rd - 89 mph, 4th - 131 mph, 5th - 143 mph
5 speed manual or 4 speed automatic with overdrive
