I let the previous owner sink all his hard earned money into it.
Him: Over $20-25K
Me: ~$600 since the purchase.
But don't worry, I will drop another $10-15K into it before all is said and done (but that won't be for a few years.)

Approx. $9000 counting the original purchase price of the car. But, I sold the original engine, I hyrdolocked the first DOHC I put in and got some insurance money. I parted out the hydrolocked engine and got most of if not all of the money I originally paid for the engine back and that was without selling the block, crank, or oil pan. I sold 3 of the factory wheels that came with the car. And I still have a set of tires and wheels I took off when I got the tires and wheels that are on there now. If you subtract the money it has earned me back, I really only have about $7000 stuck into it.

Not to be sounding like a badass or anything, but I can't even comprehend all the money I've sunk into those junk heaps. It's no $20,000 (I hope), but I can't even remember half the little things I buy, or the fluids, brakes, etc. I could probably break down my mods and stereo, but I'd be forgetting things. Safely over $5k.

How about the poor guys who've had their cars for 10 years? Or the people with crazy mods and deep pockets? :) They won't know for sure how much they blew, unless they keep track of everything.

Ouch! This is not funny anymore! I went ahead and did some calculating and some figuring and came up with over $7,500 pretty easily. And my car's probably worth $2,500. :(
