hi, i am 15 years old and i have a 1995 thunderbird lx 4.6. all my friends say im lucky to have a V8 :) I have a civic intake tube, 76mm C&L MAF, K&N cone filter, a superchip, and mufflers removed. i was wondering if anyone could give me an estimate on how much power and torque i might have and what i might run in the 1/4 mile. thanks

at the rear wheels your probably around 165hp or a little higher as for 1/4 mile your gonna be in the very high 15's to low 16's

At the crank it's rated;
4.6 (281 cid) SOHC V8; 205 hp @ 4500 rpm; 265 lb-ft torque @ 3200 rpm

I doubt it, maybe a V6, not a V8...my car's running high 15's and it's pratically stock besides the transmission...

I thought the 94-95's were like in the 190hp range and didn't break 200hp till the 96 model came out?

Nope, the first version of the 4.6 (1994) was rated at 205 at the crank and the 94 SC was rated at 230. The 96 4.6 rated the same at 205 hp.

HP remained the same, but the 96/7s gained 15 lbs of torque.
4.6 (281 cid) SOHC V8; 205 hp @ 4250 rpm; 280 lb-ft torque @ 3000 rpm
