Yeah I can hook you up on the paint. If you wait a little bit I might be able to get you a better deal since my car is going in to get the hood re-painted.

Prep the bumper yourself and all my guy will have to do it paint it. You can save a lot of money that way. Not sure when I will get my hood done. Right now I am working on this motor swap. I figure I will get to my hood sometime before Jan.

Mike, I have no idea how much more he will charge you to sand. I just know that is where most of the labor costs come from. Why don't you get yourself a set of SC side skirts and have those painted at the same time? That way you knock both things out with one can of paint.

If you're asking about trimming the bumper to fit structurally on a 95 LX then you're fine. I've got a 91 SC bumper on my 95 LX and it bolted up no problem at all. I'm positive you're gonna have to work with those tips. I dunno if you could razor enough out of the bumper cover without risking the chance of messing up the lower portion of the bumper (the part that hangs down). I don't have any mufflers on mine now so I don't have that problem.

You won't be able to cut it without ruining the bottom facia, definately need some turndowns right after the mufflers, even then it will be tight. I cut out some of the underside of the bumper to make mine fit.

To solve the muffler problem (whenever I have to put some back on)...I think I'm gonna go with a mid-mounted muffler, then try to stuff some 12" x 3" chrome tips out the back. Hopefully that'll work. Just some ideas for you.

thanx jeff sounds like a plan...

but i dont want my tips visible..i wonder what a muffler without a tip would sound like?...

i want my car to be loud..and when i start engine mods it will be even louder..so i want to keep the tips not visible from the rear..

any ideas other than turn downs?.

Whatever you do, do not let the exhaust exit right towards the bumper unless it's quite a ways forward (more than a foot) or it will melt. Personal experience with my LX bumper. ;) If you want you can chop the turndowns off to just at the line of the bumper so you wouldn't see them unless you were on your back behind it.

If I remember right you can't see the tips on a stock SC so maybe find the stock exhaust and check out the tip setup.
