Hi,

Just replaced mine yesterday. I didn't have the test equipment - to check it so my mechanic came down and did it.

He put a test meter on one of the wires going into the DIS and found current going in when you turned the engine over. When he checked the "out" side of the DIS (the side towards the coil pack) there was nothing.

With a bad DIS you'll have electrical pulse to the injectors, but not to the coil pack. If the crank sensor is bad, there won't be pulse to the injectors or the coil pack.

I'm an SC mechanic in Houston Texas. I have bought a tool that tests the DIS modules. If you send it to me with $10 and return shipping I will test it for you and send it back with the results.
