red cars

I hapen to have a black 96 bird and rudy has a white one.
If I had to do it over again I would have chose plain white
because of the heat dow here in the summer time. when
it is 100+ degrees it sure makes for a hot car.

Yeah WTH...

You forgot, Winston C. and Glenn Bolster (the original "Thunderblower"), Justin from Florida, Andrew D. from NY, Tim B. from Florida, and Mark J from TX. Does Don Teeple count even though he sold his kit to Brian W.? What about Walter Fletcher?

T-Bird AED kits are plentyful and many don't post here. Even Jim S. at AED runs the kit on his '96 T-Bird.

If I had to guess, I'd day there are about the same number of Vortech blown T-Bird/Cougars running around as AED cars. Posting perhaps different.

Who is...

Brain fart...who's the owner of the SVO headed AED T-Bird that EECDOC did the work on? Did we include him in the count?

He made 300 RWHP with the stock blower pulley in 85 degree heat. Not bad for his limited mods (minus a very free flowing exhaust...read: LOUD).

That was Jason

That was Jason (freak) Hersman. His 96 ran excellent and I'm sure he and Misty have given the Camaros and Firebirds fits around Harrisonberg VA. Last we saw of him was a cloud of tire smoke and whine of Eaton blower and he was gone!!!!!! Just like an AED Guy!
Come get us........... EECDOC :diablo:

Mine is also Red. If I had not wrecked my other T-bird, I would have had a Pacific Green one.

A-train,

I am Brian if you have not figured that out. :)

2 more AED owners Walter Fletcher and Jim Ryans

Jim Ryans was probably the first to put on an AED blower on a 97 just a few months after he bought his '97 in 1996. His serial number ends in 00017. I have a 96 Sport built in July of '96 and his 97 was built in August of '96. Jim is the reason I put mine on.

Not exactly...

96AEDtbird,

The very first '96-'97 car to get an AED kit was Jim S. at AED. The second car was Glenn Bolster's "Thunderblower" as seen in Super Ford magazine in August 1996. Considering the magazine articles are always months behind when they get to the newstand, Glenn's car was by far, the very first of the '96-'97 cars.

Just thought I'd correct your info.

Have a great Holiday.

A-Train, just now re-reading your reply some 20+ years later.
You'll probably never read this--just wanted to set the record straight:
There was nothing in my post that needed "correcting" you could of just posted your additional facts.
=================
Please re-read my post.
I stated Jim was probably the first to put an AED on a 1997 because of his serial number of ...0017 and production date of August 1996
You would have to produce a serial number less than ...0017 and a date of manufacture earlier than August of 1996 to "correct" my post about Jim being the first 1997 to have an AED supercharger.
=================
At the time, it wasn't worth the effort to dispute anything the all knowing A-Train posted.

Have a Happy New Year 2020 and thanks for your AED technical postings back in the day.
