I just bought the car today. When i went out to diner i noticed a puddle running out of the car. I didn't think anything of it i had been running the heater and thought it was just the a/c compressor or something. But then i took a friend home and he said that just from me stopping at his house real quick to let him out there was a big puddle.
So does the a/c compressor just condensate a whole lot or what do u think the problem is. I haven't checked to see what the fluid is but i know that it's not oil. all the systems checks are fine. The leak is dripping from about a foot behind the passenger wheel well and about a foot from the door.
Also how much is the air ride suspension to get repaired? I think it's just the passenger side rear that is messing up.
And my reset button on the dash doesn't work. How can i fix that?
But the biggest concern is the puddle. I really love this car and don't want to have to take it back.

The air ride failing at that car's age is very typical. I see lots of Lincoln "on the ground". Maybe someone knows if you can switch the components over to Tbird stuff.

The ac will drop water on the ground about the rate of a leaky faucet but in January I would expect much much less. I doubt that's your problem.

Used cars with bad cooling system leaks are sometimes filled with water. Check you coolant level.

Start the car and see where it's dropping from. The AC condensate comes out a small tube on the firewall on the passenger side.

If it is humid and you have the defroster on, or in auto, then it can be removing a ton of water, no matter how hot or cold it is. CHeck the cooling system to be sure it has antifreeze in it and it is up to the cold level, smell the fluid or look at it on the ground, it very likely could be from the AC. YOU can also turn off the defroster or the entire heater and see.

It's probably the a/c then because i had it on auto and defrost alot. My coolant level is fine. I'd really like to know how much it would cost just to fix the air ride. The funny thing is that the car is still sitting at normal level. I thought that when the air ride broke it would drop like all the others i see.

Check out markVIII.org on their FAQ page there is a diagnostic on how to tell what some of the problems are with the air ride. Lots of folks here post on there too. There is a vendor Eddie Spinks ("blue collar" I think) that can help you with your air ride if you decide to fix it yourself. Either way check of their airride forum for help.

Compliments on the purchase, I want one very badly.
