I got a new sender and mounted it towards the back and it still got bent! I dont understand what its hitting.. the motor should move enough to smash it down. I mounted it forward before and now towards the back.. could I have a weak motor mount or somthing?? here is a current picture of it

I agree, when you let the vehicle down on it's wheels, the sway bar moves.

what i did was put a 1.5'' straight fitting, then an elbow

You guys who apologize for the underside of a car being dirty are funny. It means you USE it. I have always maintained that dirt adds to the sleeper image

I used a kit from Summit and some miscellaneous fittings to relocate the sending unit. It's now clamped to the passenger side coil pack. If the link doesn't work, search for part number SUM-G2960 on Summit's website.

toss the 90* and put in a 45* wont have that prob. point it foward.

you don't recall what fittings you need do you? the reason i ask is my car is my only car so i really don't wanna have to jack it up figure out what i need drop her back down and then go get the parts. if you don't remember its no biggie

The only fitting I used that wasn't in the kit was a 90* elbow. I THINK it was a 1/8" NPT, male/male. I'm not 100% sure that is the right size; maybe someone can confirm.

Mine broke last year while driving i went and got a breaded line and my sender unit seats by the brake booster now .
