If your able to at least remove and re-install the tranny yourself. You should be able to cut that price in half, and at least triple the warranty.

Just say no to junkyard a4ld's. $2100 sounds high, but if you get estimates under 1800 I'd say they are going to jack the price up once they get you in there, unless you can find someone who is self employed without all the overhead.

If they are willing to pay the labor and fluid go for it.
I put 4 in for a guy and when the 4th broke he junked it. All to save $300, it ended up costing him $600 over what rebuilding it would cost. The radiator was flushed the first 2 times and then bypassed for a hayden 679.
He was towing way too much weight with it however.
