Snow is a blast to drive in. I have had many mn12's( 90 SC auto, 90 N/A, 91 3.8 N/A, 91 5.0, 92 Sport 5.0, 96 4.6) that I drove in the winter, never had a problem with either.

I have driven a 430 hp dodge charger with 4.10's in the snow too, that wasn't fun. I got it to where I wanted to go, but wouldn't drive the thing daily.

Take your time and you guys will be okay, drive in second gear.

I'm at the "p" in Spartanburg. No snow, though, just icy rain.
....and my Bird is below the "n" in New Bern. Don't ask why my Bird and I are in two different states, it's not a happy story..

What J-Rob says. Driving skills (plus good winter rubber).

The key is to keep your hands and feet steady on the controls, no jerky and sudden movements, and watch out for the other guy - anticipate. I have been driving in snow for a very long time and the only time that I have hit the ditch was with crappy tires and I just wasn't paying close enough attention in a blizzard. I can't tell you how many times that I have stopped to help pull people out of the ditch on the Coquihalla highway (western Canadians know it).

I learned from a surveyor that I worked for. Heading out to the job site in his crewcab 2X4, he would haul *** on whatever road he was on.

Well the white stuff is falling barely now. You can see it if you stand in one place for 2-3 minutes.. but it's melting at about 5 feet above the ground. :D

Well it started snowing here at About 1:35 and now it's 4:15 and still comming down. Probably less than an inch of snow though for it's really small. News guys seem to think come 7 tonight the "heavy" stuff is going to hit ( Crosses fingers).

I swear Virginia drivers suck..so far I know of like 10 wrecks that have occured just recently. Hope my mom makes it home okay...Shoot she's driving an Aerostar! They are better than SUVs :D

On the 27 mile stretch home which took an hour and 40 minutes.. 10 accidents 3 of those involving only a single car. Last one was turned 180 in the ditch.

On the way home there are two places where the 4 lane interstate splits into 2 lanes going opposite directions. Every day people wait until the last second to get over. Tonight was no exception. And who wins the award for waiting until the very last second? One of Raleighs finest. We pass wreck #9, no cop there and he keeps right on going till we get about a half mile past it and everyone stops again. As soon as that happens the cop decides to go ahead and turn around in the median and go back to see if the person is ok.

Then the lovely people who on the back road near my house decide to ride their brakes down the small hills, like braking is the right thing to do on ice/slush.

Oh, and aside from a couple takeoffs I didn't have a single problem with the Bird. I'm still not quite used to the 3.73's in incliment weather but I can sure see why trac-lok was part of the "cold weather" package. A slight slide and the spinning wheel stops and the other one goes. :)

News is better than Comedy Central!!

I guess when you move from a Northern state that gets feet of snow every year these little storms make you laugh when you hear the local news. Southerners are a different breed let me tell you! They are reporting at Super Markets asking shoppers what they're getting...all of them are like Bread and Milk... Kroger reported that they sold 280 gallons of milk every 30 minutes today from 1-5pm! Good stuff... Oh and trash pick up will be delayed tomorrow... :D hehehehe

Haven't been out to drive for my parents won't let me so no report on how the SC drives.

I'll keep ya posted.

It's 0* F now, and I've already got 20 inches of snow this year.

To top it off my thermostat got stuck on the way home so no heat, then I had to change it with 20mph winds. (can't chance overheating the SHOgun)

Oh, and you haven't lived till you've gone UP a 2 mile stretch 15% grade at a 45degree angle to the road on bald weathermasters in a 89 3.8na w/o trac-lok. :D

I'm rather amazed that you've done that, I didn't know it was possible.
