I figured out that the idle is normal when I plug the hose that goes into the intake immediately before the throttle body with my finger. Is this the IAC line?
If so, does this mean that my IAC valve is dead?
Is it ok to plug this line for the time being? I've had to deal with this idle surge for almost a year now and am getting extremely tired of it.
I'm planning on replacing my engine with a super charged 3.8. The doner car has front end damage and is an automatic car. So what else do I need to switch out other than the engine, tranny, wire harness and computer? My car is a 91 Cougar.
As we continue our restoration of the ol' 1996 Thunderbird LX my better half, and I have fallen into a sort of problem... We both love the darn thing.

Im getting a 32 airbag code & it appears the clock spring is bad. Does anyone know definitively if the original discontinued part F5SZ-14A664-A is forward compatible with something still available. THANKS IN ADVANCE
