MN-12's!!!!

When I first bought my T-bird, I only bought it because the price was right, and I was looking to build a race car no one else had. Then I found out that there was quite a following not only for T-birds but the MN-12 platform in general. After seeing alot of you guys' cars, I've often thought, hmmm I should have kept my bird on the street. Then I realized yesterday that I was bitten by the MN-12 bug, I saw a decent looking S/C (not sure of year) goldish tan, in at work. I'm realy hoping that the people trade it in, I'll be all over that like white on rice. It will stay on the street though, and be my little hot rod. Damn that car looked nice :)

Thanks for getting me hooked guys,

Brandon

LOL The only reason I got my first MN12 was it was the only thing that dad had for sale when I needed a cheap car. :D Then I got the bug.

I saw mine sitting on the side of the road for sale. I traded the guy my Oldsmobile 88 (poor mans Cadillac) for it. I regretted it at the time, but by doing that wouldnt have got me the sweet a$$ car i have now, lol

I am on my second MN12 now.First one was a 94 3.8 v6 which I took over payments from my brother. After my first set of donuts I was hooked. After I smoked the trans I put in a 3k stall.Shortly after that I spoted my 95 V8.The same day I found my 95 I traded in my 94 and drove home in the 95 bird. The rest is history.

My tbird was swapped for 1/2 day labor on a Maxima. Actually the labor charge was $800 and I would have had $320 of that in my pocket. OK- it was a gift from my boss.

The car sat at the shop for a year before it was mine. Someone did a drive-by on it and the kid who owned it had mommy buy the Maxima. I took a look under the hood and thought " it's a big 5.0 Mustang- should be easy to run 14.0 in the quarter." Now I've spent enough to make a 12 second fox Mustang and still run only a 14.7 - lol. Completely rebuilding the suspension, steering, exhaust, and drivetrain is more expensive on a Tbird than a Mustang. It's worth it.

I've completed my 342 and everyone tells me buy a Mustang for it. If I did that I would have to build a 427 for the bird. I'm addicted to my tbird.

On my second MN12. First was a gift from the parents this one was a trade with my father. I have become addicted to the space though and am now looking for an FN10 to feed the power desire.

Let's see, if you don't count parts cars, I have owned 5 MN12s
-91 5.0L cougar. Still have it and will be swapping in a 393.
-89 SC 5-speed. Bought broken, fixed it, then broke it, then fixed it, then broke it, then fixed it, then broke it, then fixed it, then broke it, then sold it!
-91 3.8 bird. Sold to my girlfriend's brother.
-94 4.6 cougar. Sitting in the garage with a blown T45.
-89 XR7 5-speed. Current daily driver. Will probably get a full resto at some point.
