I'm going to install my electric fan today, but I am not sure where the best place to install the inline thermostat switch is. Is it safe to put it on the hose, or should I drill a hole somewhere for it? Any help would be appreciated.

What type of sender it is? Last one I installed it was a bulb that went in a radiator hose, it came with some foam tape, put the bulb in the radiator, put foam tape over it around the hose nipple, put on hose, and no leak really for the most part generally eventually it leaked but that was 60k miles later.

I guess it would be a bulb type. Here is a picture.

It is threaded.

I want to get rid of this one and get the kind that goes in between the fins of the radiator. Autozone, Pepboys, and National didnt have anything. Guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow and go to Napa.

I've been thinking. I could drill a hole on the bottom of the inlet for the upper radiator hose and place it there. I think that would be a good location. I would have to have it sealed real good so there are no leaks.
