Wow! I had mine fixed at a local shop and then Ford reimbursed me a partial amount.

I wonder if I qualify?

I hope so. Looks like I'll be stopping by Town & Country Ford this week...

mine cracked about 4 years ago...they said my car was not in the specified build dates at the time to be covered. I had to pay for the intake and do it myself. I think I am going to look into this a bit further now.

lol Hope you read that before you got hammer crazy! :D

So just for clarification, what if I bought the car in Feb. 05, and the previous owner paid to have the manifold replaced?

Its good that they are gonna try and reimburse everybody, but it sucks for those of us who had it crack after the car was 7 years old, i persoanlly think that is not fair.

Mine went in '04 and my car was a '96, do the math.....i cant get no money. :(

My first car's manifold went in 2000, I paid out of pocket to buy the manifold and fixed it myself, thanks to TCCOA I found out about the extended warranty and Ford eventualy refunded my cost for parts. I just bought another car and it is cracked currently, I think they should've covered the manifold replacement period. Seven years is better, but they were obviously defective and should be replaced for free anytime they go.

My 97 is an early 97, and was covered previously, and I ASSUME it was replaced, since it wasn't the original one (it had the threaded inserts for COPs, and it has a 98 part number I am pretty sure) but replaced by another composite crossover one, that unserimoniously blowed up on me. It isn't covered under this warranty extension.

When I bought my bird the intake was cracked, I put a new one in, so does this entitle me to the $735? Cause that's about what I've got into fixing it all up...???
