As the title says what type of intercooler/aftercoler is everybody using if any at all.

Went with a custom built aluminum heat exchanger from Ebay for my AED. It's basically the same length and width and the "Transmission Cooler" that AED supplies in their kit, it's just twice as thick. I also ditched the stock “pop can” reservoir and bumped up to a 3-galon polyethylene unit which now sits snugly in place of my old battery. The battery has since been moved to the trunk. As far as a pump…..I never even bothered taking the mechanical one that comes in the kit out of the package. I just went right for the Bosch electric unit.

I'm running a vortech and I plan on doing water/meth injection come next spring.
For the price, you can't beat this type of cooling.

I wasn't able to find him just now when I looked, but he's a guy who builds polymer fuel cells and sells them on Ebay. He built me one to the same dimentions as a standard size battery, and supplied me with the correct fittings. I don't think I payed much more than $80.00US for it.

Procharger P1-SC Intercooler

3 core intercooler that comes with the P1-SC kit for
the 2001 SVT Cobra. havent installed it yet, but will have some time after this wekend of working is complete.

I'll do, but I'll be damned if I can figure out how to post them? I don't seem to have the option of adding attachments at the bottom of the screne. Know anyplace that will host them for free!?!

No, I'm running a single pump and I have in mounted underneath the drivers side headlight on the end of the frame.

Are you talking about pictures?? Photobucket.com is a great place to host pictures, and if you going to start posting pictures you better start posting pictures of that cat too, cause I've never seen it. :D

Thanks, Photobucket is down for maintanence right now, but I'll join up and post the pics when it's up and running again.

Here are the pics I promised yesterday. The car is a real mess under the hood right now, so be prepared. I'm kind of about half way through everything. :tongue:

The pics aren't the greatest, since I've still got the back end off the ground finishing the exhaust and couldn’t get under the front end to shoot the heat exchanger, but you can kinda see it from the front from a couple of pics....and of course the custom coolant reservoir up front.






I’ll post more as the car gets closer to completion. :)

I see you have the 1" spacer, and what’s that red box? Is that your MSD ignition? Great idea on the polyethylene unit, cause you can get to your plugs a lot easier and around the manifold and not have to worry about the “pop can” in the way, nice thinking there. :thumbsup:

Yeah, I had one made up about a month ago, but if I were looking to get one now, I'd buy up the last of A-Trains spacers. At $200 a piece, they're definitely not making any money on them.

That red box is a Kenne Bell Boost-a-spark. It's just sitting there in that pick because we were in the middle of trying to figure out where to put it when I took it. There's not a lot of real estate in the engine bay to work with, so I'm kinda scratching my head. I bought because I planned on spinning the blower fairly hard (as you can probably see by the 2.35" 8-rib pulley on the blower) and this way it will allow me to run a fairly wide plug gap without blowing it out the exhaust port.

I liked the idea of the polyethylene reservoir right away. Not only is it more conveniently located, but it holds about 2 1/2 gallons of coolant compared to the miniscule amount the standard reservoir does. It combined with the thicker heat exchanger should do a decent job of keeping the ACT's under control.
